Independent Baptist Missionaries to Serbia
We are independent, fundamental, Bible believing missionaries to Serbia, sent by Grace Baptist Church of Jacksonville, NC, Pastor Randy Roberts. We have been in Serbia since March 30th, 2011. Please click the “+” signs below for more about general information, our testimonies, our plans, and references as well.
This burden led to my calling there while I was studying the country for a missions report and the Lord impressed His call on my heart to go to Serbia as a missionary. He confirmed the call with Isaiah 61:1, “…the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound…”
I graduated with a major on missions from Bethel Baptist College, a ministry of Bible Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Arkansas. After graduation I served on staff at Grace Baptist Church, our sending church, as a missionary intern for two years. I was part of the bus ministry through being a bus director, bus captain and driver (at times all three). I also taught the singles Sunday school class for a year, was a part of the school ministry through preaching at chapels and building maintenance, and was the director of the nursing home ministry as well as involved in soul winning in town and on the base along with involvement in other ministries.
At the age of seventeen, I surrendered to be a missionary to wherever the Lord wanted me to go. I thought I would be married and on the field directly after Bible College. This is not what the Lord had planned for me. I lived in Tennessee for a little bit then moved back home. It was there I got a call to go to Connecticut to work at New England Baptist College. The couple of years I spent working there were very beneficial in my spiritual growth and preparation for the mission field. It was while I was here that the Lord allowed me to meet Danny while he was on deputation.
The Lord had been working on my heart all this time about going to the mission field. I was wondering why nothing ever seemed to work out. The Lord was preparing me specifically for Serbia, though I did not know it at the time. I had a burden for unreached people groups and Serbia is an unreached people group in Europe. I feel privileged and honored to serve my Lord and Saviour on this field beside my husband. We are both excited about seeing Serbians saved!
Our Plan & Vision
2. Start holding Bible studies for all that are interested at our home using it to see people saved and disciple those that are saved.
3. Go door to door as much as possible once we have the language down well enough.
4. Start holding church services.
…And grow from there!
Our vision is great! We want the whole country to be reached with the Gospel. But, with 7 million souls here and with a population that is rapidly aging and dying off, it is impossible for us to do that in time for every one of them, before it’s too late! As someone once said, “The Gospel is only good news if it gets there in time.” Beyond financial and prayer support we need physical assistance in the form of more missionaries here.
We are pioneer missionaries here, trying to pave the way for others to come. It is our burden to see independent, fundamental Baptist churches planted in the country of Serbia that they may be reached with the Gospel and that they may have the same opportunity to be in solid, Bible preaching, independent Baptist churches like we have in America. We can’t keep it all to ourselves! Won’t you help and be involved in reaching Serbia for Christ? We would like to reach every Serbian with the Gospel but it is impossible by us–please, at least, hold the ropes in prayer for us!
We cannot reach Serbia alone. We understand this task is far beyond our ability. Your role in this ministry is of extreme importance. We need above all your faithful prayers. Please pray for more laborers to come to Serbia, and for Serbians to be saved and churches to be planted here.
Letters of Reference
First of all, let me thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to read this letter. I realize that there never seems to be enough time in the day to read and pray over all the missionary literature and requests received.
Let me assure you that time is not wasted in your consideration of this missionary! Brother Foss came to us in June of 2007 as a “Missionary Intern.” He has served well in various responsibilities in the local church including that of Bus Director/Captain/Driver. He presently oversees our Nursing Home ministry and Building & Maintenance needs. Brother Foss is a Christian man with an immense burden for souls. His burden for souls has allowed him to serve as our College and Career Sunday School Teacher resulting in consistent growth, numerically and spiritually. We have baptized several converts as a result of his tireless soulwinning efforts. To God be the glory!
Brother Foss desires to follow the call of God upon his life by going to the country of Serbia in order to win the lost and establish a local New Testament Baptist Church. His training coupled with his burden will enable him to quickly learn the language and attain his goals on the foreign soil. All he needs now is prayer & financial support to get there.
Pastor, would you prayerfully consider hearing this man with the intent to support him so that he can quickly get to the field where He belongs? Thank you for listening today. May God richly bless you as you serve Him in your field!

To whom it may concern:
I have known Mr. Danny Foss for about 5 years. Danny was first a student of mine at Bethel Baptist College in Jacksonville, AR. He was diligent in his studies and faithful to all his commitments in college. He was very serious about his studies and his responsibilities.
It has been my joy now to be a staff member with Mr. Foss here at Grace Baptist Church. Again, he has showed himself a loyal worker, a good soul-winner, and faithful to the cause of Christ.
I heartily recommend Danny as a candidate for missionary work in Serbia.
